For Android phones and Wear OS watches

See which positions you sleep in, and which make you snore

SleepPose records how you lie at night with your watch or phone on your chest, and listens for snoring with your phone by the bed. In the morning you see both on one timeline.

How it works

Three steps, one night

Put your phone by the bed

It listens for snoring. Sound is analysed on the phone by an on-device model, and only short clips are kept so you can check them yourself.

Optional

Wear your watch or phone on your chest

A Wear OS watch, or the phone itself, fastened to your chest records whether you lie on your back, left side, right side or stomach. Skip this to start with snoring only.

See your night in the morning

Positions, snoring and, if you use Health Connect, sleep stages on one timeline. Touch the chart to see any moment.

Snoring by position

Find out whether your position matters

SleepPose works out how much of the time you snored in each position, counting only the time it was actually listening. Over several nights it also shows whether turning over tends to stop your snoring.

  • Back, left side, right side and stomach, minute by minute
  • Snoring share per position, not just total snoring time
  • Review the clips and mark other noises, so they don't count
Snoring by position: back 53 percent, stomach 0, left 0, right 2 percent

Start with snoring only

Nothing to wear. Put the phone by the bed and tap Start listening. Add positions whenever you like.

Watch or phone

Use a Wear OS watch on your chest, or the phone itself. The watch keeps recording even when the phone is out of range.

Sleep stages from Health Connect

If your watch or sleep app shares sleep stages with Health Connect, SleepPose shows them next to your positions.

Insights across nights

Position share, snoring by position and trends for the nights you choose.

Stops when you get up

Recording can end by itself once you've been sitting or standing for a few minutes.

Private by design

No account and no cloud backup. Recordings, audio clips and sleep data stay on your phone and watch.

Who it's for

Questions SleepPose helps you answer

“My partner says I snore.”

Find out when you snore, for how much of the night, and whether it's mostly on your back. Listen to the clips yourself.

“Does this pillow actually help?”

Trying a side-sleeping pillow, a positional belt or a night without alcohol? Compare nights before and after, position by position.

“I was told to sleep on my side.”

If someone has advised you to sleep on your side, see how much of the night you actually did, and when you rolled onto your back.

“I'm just curious how I sleep.”

See your favourite position, how often you turn over, and how that lines up with your deep and REM sleep.

SleepPose is not a medical device

SleepPose is a wellness app for personal insight. It does not diagnose, treat or monitor any medical condition, including sleep apnea, and its results are estimates that can be wrong.

Loud, frequent snoring, pauses in breathing, gasping or choking at night, or feeling very sleepy during the day can be signs of sleep apnea. If that sounds like you, talk to a doctor. Don't use SleepPose to monitor babies or children.

Questions

Good to know

Do I need a watch?

No. Snoring only needs just your phone by the bed. To track positions, use a Wear OS watch on your chest, or fasten the phone itself to your chest.

Does any audio leave my phone?

No. Sound is analysed on the phone. Only short clips around possible snoring are saved, on the phone, so you can listen to them. You can delete them at any time.

Which devices does it work with?

An Android phone with Android 11 or newer. For position tracking with a watch, a Wear OS watch with Wear OS 3 or newer. Sleep stages need an app that shares sleep with Health Connect.

How do I wear the watch on my chest?

Use a chest strap or a soft band so the watch lies flat on your chest. The app's mounting guide shows the orientations it understands.

Can I see my data on a website or another phone?

No. There's no account and no cloud copy: your recordings are on your phone and watch only. If you uninstall the app, they're deleted.
