SleepPoseThese terms apply to the SleepPose apps for Android phones and Wear OS watches ("SleepPose" or "the app"). By installing or using SleepPose, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
1. SleepPose is not a medical device
SleepPose is a wellness app for personal insight. It is not a medical device and doesn't diagnose, treat, cure, prevent or monitor any disease or condition, including sleep apnea. Don't use it to make medical decisions, and don't delay or replace advice from a doctor because of it. If you're worried about your sleep or breathing, talk to a doctor.
2. Results are estimates
Positions, snoring, sleep stages and insights are estimates from your devices' sensors, the microphone and data from other apps. They can be wrong or incomplete, for example if a device moves, the microphone is covered, other sounds are present, or Android stops the app overnight.
3. Using SleepPose safely and fairly
- SleepPose is for adults' personal, non-commercial use.
- Don't use it to monitor babies, children, or anyone who can't remove a device by themselves.
- When you wear a watch or phone on your chest, use a comfortable strap that doesn't press or restrict breathing, and stop if it causes discomfort. Keep a charging phone away from your bed covers.
- Snoring detection records sound in the room. Tell anyone who shares the room, and follow the laws where you live about recording other people.
4. Your data
Your recordings stay on your devices, as explained in our privacy policy. You're responsible for your devices and for any copies you make of your data. We can't restore recordings that are deleted or lost, for example when the app is uninstalled.
5. Purchases
Some features may require a purchase. Purchases are made through Google Play, under Google Play's terms, and are linked to your Google account. Refunds follow Google Play's refund policy and your rights under consumer law. Features can be tried, changed or switched on gradually, so not every installation may see the same features at the same time.
6. Licence
We grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to use SleepPose on devices you own or control. Don't copy, modify, resell or reverse engineer the app except as the law allows. SleepPose includes open-source components, listed in the app under Settings › About › Open-source licences, which are covered by their own licences.
7. Changes and availability
We may update, change or stop offering SleepPose or any feature. If we change these terms, we'll update the date above, and for important changes we'll tell you in the app.
8. No warranty and limitation of liability
SleepPose is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.
